FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

STORE POLICY: We do not hold any items. We are happy to take an order when the goods are in stock and hold it for you with a credit card if you wish to pick it up at a later date. We only accept credit cards for mail orders. In store we accept Visa, Mastercard, Epftos and of course cash. Sorry no Diners or American Express. All prices are in Aussie dollars. We do not charge for any items not in stock. We charge only when the goods are actually shipped. SORRY NO CHECKS.

POSTAGE & HANDLING: Please see the postage page. When you do an order the website will now give you an estimate of postage.

PRODUCT AVAILABILITY: We sell out of items on a daily basis. Whenever possible we will try and update the web with the ETA of a product. We will activate the item when stock becomes available.

BACKORDERS: will no longer be accepted. When stock is available we will active it on the web.

SPECIAL ORDERS: We will no longer take any special orders. We simply do not have the room on the containers for one box of this or one box of that. We do like your suggestions and we do try to keep a range of stock in store, but simply cannot keep everyone's favorite item in stock.

GIFTS: if you would like to send a gift - please make sure the recipients name is the ship to address - please use your details in the billing & credit card info. Please also use your telephone and email details to ensure the person doesn't get the email with the tracking info if it is a surprise. We will then mail the package to him/her and send you the receipts. If you would like a card enclosed please just pop your note in special instructions and we will send one to them for you.

NEW!!! JELLO AND STOVE TOP STUFFING MIXES: These products are no longer available. We can't prove that the beef and pig that is used in Jello doesn't contain BSE. We also can't bring in Stove Top Stuffing Mixes because they contain less then 2% chicken and chicken broth. Both are quarantine rulings. Any complaints can be directed to AQIS on 8313 6902. UPDATE: we have found a stuffing that does not contain any meat or chicken - it should be in store soon.

MEAT AND DAIRY: We are not allowed to import any meat, poultry or dairy (milk, egg or cheese) products into Australia. If an item has more than 10% dairy it requires a permit. Meat and products that contain meat can no longer be imported into Australia unless we have a permit. To obtain a permit is almost impossible if the manufacturers do not wish to work with you. Products like Butter Buds, Molly McButter, Corn Beef Hash, Velvetta, Cool Whip do not meet the standards. We have obtained the information required for some salad dressings and mayonnaise. Please do not attempt to bring these products back into the country. If you declare them they will be confiscated. If you do not declare them and they are found you will face a hefty fine.

BIG RED GUM: The American version of this item contains a banned substance called BHT. This ingredient promotes asthma in some people. Wrigley's has done a batch without BHT. We are still not allowed to import the American one, so it will be up to Wrigley's to decide when they will do another no BHT batch. For further information please contact Wrigley's directly.

FROZEN AND REFRIGERATED PRODUCTS: At present we have no plans to import these products. The shipping is different and very expensive.

TWINKIES, DRAKES CAKES, DING DONGS, POTATO CHIPS AND OTHER SHORT -TERM SHELF LIFE PRODUCTS: We will not be importing these items. By the time they arrive, they would be past the used by dates. We could not sell them for the amount needed to make a profit. The only exception to this is Fritos - because we all know that they are still good months after the expiry date. Also a few seconds in the microwave refries them!

SUNFLOWER SEEDS: We will no longer be importing them. They are held up by quarantine wanting to review the product every time and this causes us to waste time and incur extra costs. This item is now discontinued.

HIGH RISK FOODS: Popcorn and coconut products are just a few of the high-risk foods. The container would be held up and we have decided not to import these products.

HEALTH AND BEAUTY: We will only carry a few of these items. We have no plans to expand these lines.

ALCOHOL, BEER, WINE AND CIGARETTES: We have no plans to import any of the above. If you need help finding these products try a bottle shop or a tobacco store. They have contacts through distribution and may be better able to help you.

PLEASE FEEL FREE TO EMAIL US WITH YOUR COMMENTS OF ANY QUESTIONS THAT HAVE NOT BEEN COVERED HERE.
