Democrats Abroad Australia (www.democratsabroad.org) is the organisation of the USA Democratic Party in Australia. Democrats Abroad works tirelessly to help all US citizens living abroad to participate in the US democratic process, especially by helping them to vote.
Voting from abroad is very easy when you use the Vote From Abroad (www.votefromabroad.org) program – a online voter registration process that walks you step by step through the voter registration forms. You then print out the form and send it to the address of your home electoral district which the program provides. The program even enables you to print out a Write In Absentee Ballot which you can keep and then use if your ballot does not arrive in the post from your home electoral district. Nothing could be easier!

insurance: (FOR AUSTRALIA POST ONLY)
There is a new rate for insurance - $1.50 per $100 spent. As always the post has the final say in paying the claim, but they say that the item damaged and any damage as a result is now covered. USAFoods will file the claim for you, but compensation won't be made until they reviewed and pay the claim. You will have to prove the claim, so please take pictures or they may request you to take the box down to the post. If this occurs make sure record the date and the name of the person you speak to or better yet have them sign off on the box. It is up to you to tick the insurance box for us to file a claim.
If the box is not ticked and any damage occurs while in transit with australia post, than no claim or compensation can be filed.

Quarantine has decided that some items are no longer allowed into the country because of their ingredients. If you do not see an item you want please make your query via the email and I can better advise.
We are working on them, but it is a long drawn out process. Please don't ask why as it can be very complicated and well very tiring issue to discuss. I'm sure most of you already know how difficult it is to deal with them at times, as a lot of you have already been thur it when bringing items back from home. It is a quarantine ruling and we must deal with things accordingly.

HEAT DAMAGE!!!
SINCE SOME CHOCOLATES ARE MORE FRAGILE THAN OTHERS HERE SOMETHING FROM ONE OF OUR CUSTOMERS TO HELP YOU:
Place chocolate in microwave and, on a very low setting, heat for a few seconds. This needs to be done in stages and as required - some chocolate is more damaged than others.
I've done this on numerous occasions and Hershey's comes out beautifully! Needless to say, it does soften but I eat it so fast that it doesn't have a chance to harden!
Try it - it really does work!

Direct deposit, money orders are no longer being accepted. Mail orders need to be paid by credit cards.
Phone orders - We are always happy to take phone orders, but at times we do get busy. Please do not get upset of we have to call you back or ask you to place on line.
Backorders also have been discontinued - we will make the stock active once it arrives.
Postage and insurance - see postage page - with the new system updated there will be an estimate of postage given - but it is only an estimate.

If there is any problem with your order please contact us with 48 hours after receipt to discuss. We want you to be satisfied with your purchases, so if there is a problem the sooner we know about it the sooner we can sort it out.
