The secret to the astonishing flavor is a blend of Old Havana spices and premium ingredients. We saute yellow and sweet vidalia onions in extra-virgin olive, stirring in freshly-crushed garlic, apple cider vineager, vine-ripened tomatoes and a pinch of sea salt.
On the island, this Cuban classic is known as "picadillo" (with ground beef, olives and raisins). But we've given it an extra twist, with a tantalizing balance of four different peppers, fresh lime juice, raw cane sugar and bay leaves. Simmered to perfection, the end result is a mildly spicy, but HUGELY satisfying Old Havana Foods original!
